1949年10月1日，毛澤東在天安門城樓上向全世界宣告：中國人民從此站起來了。半個世紀后，鄧小平堅定地指出：中國人民既然有能力站起來，就一定有能力永遠巋然屹立于世界民族之林。十八大閉幕后不久，習近平在參觀《復興之路》展覽時深情地指出：現在，我們比歷史上任何時期都更接近中華民族偉大復興的目標，比歷史上任何時期都更有信心、更有能力實現這個目標。
只要我們在中國共產黨的領導下，堅定不移地走中國特色社會主義道路，大力弘揚以社會主義核心價值觀為引領的中國精神，凝聚和依靠海內外中華兒女的磅礴力量，占世界人口五分之一的中華民族一定會實現偉大復興，這將是人類社會發展史上又一次壯麗的日出。

Evolution and Innovation of the Development Concept of the Communist Party of China
—On the Scientific Connotation of Xi Jinping's Thought on Development

Abstract: The development concept of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has experienced three stages, from the primary understanding of it at first, to the continuous progress of it since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh CPC Central Committee, and to the innovation of it by the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as General Secretary since the Eighteenth CPC Congress, covering a nearly 100-year period of time. Based on the evolution of the development concept, we can draw two important conclusions: Xi Jinping's development thought is not only in the same vein as the development concept of the CPC, but makes a major innovation; the key to realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation lies in the Party. The profound discussion on the five major development concepts, the new normal and the Four-Pronged Comprehensive Strategy in the development thought of Xi Jinping is a major innovation of the development concept of the CPC.
