The Key Role and Unique Value of the Mass Line in the Development of the Chinese Style Democracy

Abstract: After its 100 years of exploration, the CPC has embarked on a path of Chinese style democracy different from the Western democracy. The key to the formation and development of Chinese style democracy lies in realizing the high unity of the Party's leadership and people's democracy. As the fundamental work line and lifeline of the Party, the mass line not only contains the value concept of democracy, but also results from the Party's practice of democracy. Embedded with the essence of democracy, it naturally has the key role and unique value of realizing the organic combination of the Party's leadership and the position of the people as masters of the country and promoting the high unity of the Party's leadership and the people's democracy. It has promoted the formation of the whole-process democratic participation, democratic consultation and policy democracy, playing an irreplaceable role in the creation and healthy development of the Chinese style democracy. At the same time, the perfection of Chinese style democracy will help to better implement the mass line. The mass line and Chinese style democracy have a mutually reinforcing relationship.
